So, last night the VMA’s were all kinds of crazy. From Kanye grabbing the mic from Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga bleeding all over the stage, let’s just say the VMA’s weren’t their smoothest this year. While I have a ton to say about Kanye’s actions and Gaga’s performance, I’m going to spare you all of that (you’re already getting enough of it on all the celebrity blogs). I will say this though…WHY THE HELL DID LADY GAGA HAVE A SEA ANEMONE ON HER HEAD???

I am always shopping around Etsy finding little bits and bobbles to add to my assortment of trinkets and treasures…in other words, I like to shop around the site. My current Etsy shop obsession is CuteAbility. As if the name  couldn’t tell you, they have the cutest assortment of necklaces with what looks like fake food for a dollhouse or a barbie collection. I absolutely love it.

 

Oh, and how could I forget…they have little fish in bowl jewelry too!!!

end of summer

I can’t believe it’s September 1st and it’s basically the end of summer. What a great summer it was though.

I just found out that Mum has released their fifth complete album earlier than expected…and digitaly! The album, Sing Along to Songs You Don’t Know  isn’t supposed to be out until mid-fall but gogoyoko.com has it available to download on their website and every dollar that you spend goes toward helping refugees reconnect with their family.

I am really excited about this because I’ve been a Mum listener for over 5 years now. I already have a ticket to see them play at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC during CMJ week!!! It will be good to know some of their new sounds before seeing them live. Yippee!!!
